The BBC has released a pair of new clips from the second season of In the Club.

Featuring “more secrets, heartbreak, comedy and pathos”, the baby drama returns next week at 9pm on Tuesday 3 May on BBC One with the first of six new episodes.

Ten months on from the first season, child-minder Diane, schoolgirl Rosie, stay-at-home mum Jasmin, businesswoman Roanna, midwife Vicky and blog-writer Kim are stumbling into the realities of parenthood together.

In the first clip, while the pregnant ladies wait for their appointments with midwives, Maxine rushes in with a new born in her arms – it is premature and has been left in the toilet…

In the second clip, Jasmin and Dev are nervous as they see the consultant. Dr. Stone breaks the news that their twins have a problem…

New characters in Season 2 will include Shelly (Gemma Dobson), a pregnant surrogate who has rented out her womb to gay partners Andrew (Andrew Buckley, Shameless) and Nathan (Paul Nicholls, The C Word).
