Doctor Who series 11: Olivia Colman confirms she’s talked about a role

Doctor Who series 11 continues to film, with new showrunner Chris Chibnall and new Doctor Jodie Whittaker now settled into their new jobs.

Chibnall came to Doctor Who once he’d wrapped up the third and final series of Broadchurch. Broadchurch, of course, starred Olivia Colman, and in a new interview with the Radio Times, she revealed that she’d spoken to Chibnall about making another appearance in Doctor Who (she previously popped up briefly in The Eleventh Hour).

“We’ve already talked about it”, she confirmed. “I want to be a really horrible baddie. Whether or not it fits in…”

She did add that “it’s a bit much to just ask someone, ‘can I bet in it?’”. Let’s just say that if we were in her position, that’s exactly what we’d do.

Guest stars haven’t been announced for the new series yet, though. But there’s still half a series left to film, and time to get Colman involved, we’d suggest…!
