Doctor Who: Susan Calman pens story for new anthology, now with book cover

Posted Filed under

A new anthology of Doctor Who stories from female authors is set to go on sale in March. The Day She Saved The Doctor is published on International Women’s Day next year, and Calman – so, so brilliant on Strictly Come Dancing recently (but also, in general, brilliant: her book on her battles with depression is utterly superb) – is one of the quartet of authors involved.

The others? Dorothy Koomson has contributed a story, as has Jenny Colgan and Jacqueline Raynor.

The book will be published under the BBC Children’s Books imprint, and the official logline reads:

Four fantastic new adventures with the Doctor, starring Rose, Sarah-Jane, Clara and Bill, publishing on International Women’s Day in March 2018.

Written by Jenny Colgan, Jacqueline Rayner, Dorothy Koomson and Susan Calman, these stories are a celebration of the Doctor’s fantastic female friends, packed with heroic action and heart for fans of all ages.

UPDATE: And we’ve now got the cover for the book too. Right here…
