A UK-based ‘superfan’ has spent over £12,000 on Stargate merchandise, travelling the world to add to her collection.

Claire Cowan’s ever-growing obsession with the long-running franchise has even seen her shed weight just to fit into the costumes of her favourite character, Colonel Samantha Carter, played by Amanda Tapping.

The second and final season of Stargate Universe is released on DVD this week. Seasons 1 to 5 of Stargate Atlantis will be released on Blu-ray for the first time on Monday 19th September.
