To salute the 20th anniversary of the first Harry Potter book – Harry Potter & The Philosopher’s Stone – the BBC has confirmed that it’ll be screening a special one-off documentary.
Entitled Harry Potter: A History Of Magic, the programme will showcase some of author J K Rowling’s manuscripts, as well as illustrations and unseen drafts. It’ll also uncover her inspirations in creating the Harry Potter series, before shifting focus to some of the series’ most ardent fans.
No transmission date has thus far been confirmed, but we’d reckon it’s a fair bet for the Christmas schedules. We’ll update you once that date has been fixed.
