Avengers: Infinity War – Peter Dinklage’s presence confirmed

Posted Filed under

It has finally been confirmed that Peter Dinklage is appearing in Avengers: Infinity War, although the nature of his role is yet to be revealed.

Rumours have linked the Game Of Thrones star to Marvel Studios’ epic crossover movie for months now, but neither the actor nor the studio had released a statement confirming the connection. Until now, that is.

Eagle-eyed fans have noticed that Dinklage’s name was listed among the cast on Marvel’s latest Avengers: Infinity War poster. See here…

So, now it’s official – Dinklage is in Infinity War. At long last, we can be sure of that. But this just raises more questions of course, with this one paramount among them: who is Dinklage playing in Infinity War?

Is he playing a shady government person, a secret new hero, or perhaps a supporting villain? It’s impossible to say at this stage, and it feels like we might have to wait until the movie’s release to find out. One hot rumour links Dinklage to ‘The Black Order’, a team of villains that work for Josh Brolin’s big bad, Thanos. But only time will tell if that rumour is true.

Dinklage, of course, is no stranger to comic book movies: he played Sentinel-creator Bolivar Trask in 2014’s X-Men: Days Of Future Past.

Avengers: Infinity War hits UK cinemas on April 26th, 2018.
