As well as writing the first ever Daleks story for Doctor Who in 1963, the Cardiff-born novelist and screenwriter created the 1970s BBC sci-fi shows Survivors and Blake’s 7. He also contributed to episodes of The Avengers, The Persuaders!, The Champions, Department S and The Saint. Terry Nation died in 1997.

Publishers Aurum Press Ltd state: “This is the first serious, mainstream account of Terry Nation’s life and contribution to British television and will shed light on a fascinating melting pot of ambitious young writers, producers and performers without whom British culture today would look very different.”
