The cast will include Dakota Blue Richards (Skins), Sam Hazeldine (The Raven), Jill Halfpenny (Eastenders), Kris Marshall (My Family), Danny Miller (Emmerdale), Antonia Clarke (Skins), Lucy Cohu (Gosford Park), Danny Webb (Life Begins), Neil Jackson (Upstairs Downstairs), Karla Crome (Misfits) and Sophie Thompson (Four Weddings and a Funeral).

Marchlands starred Alex Kingston (Doctor Who), Jodie Whittaker (Cranford) and Shelley Conn (Mistresses), and featured three separate families living in the same house at three different time periods.

Lightfields will follow a similar format to Marchlands, set in a remote Suffolk farmhouse in the wartime Britain of 1944, 1976 and the present day.

Written by Simon Tyrell (Survivors, The Body Farm) and directed by Damon Thomas (Monroe), the five-part drama is now filming in Rickmansworth and East Sussex.
