‘Doctor Who’ Easter return date confirmed

The latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine confirms rumours that Series 6 will begin next month over the Easter weekend.

Airing on Saturday 23rd April, the first episode of the new series was originally titled ‘The Year Of The Moon’, but this name will be changing, the magazine reveals. Writing in the magazine’s ‘Production Notes’ column, Moffat also reveals that Episode 7 will also no longer have the title ‘Demons Run’ – it will now be called either ‘His Darkest Hour’ or ‘A Good Man Goes To War’.

Issue 432 of Doctor Who Magazine is available in shops tomorrow and includes an interview with Toby Whithouse and a nostalgic look at William Hartnell’s Series 3.

Update: EW.com report that BBC America will also launch Series 6 on Saturday 23rd April, at 9pm ET, just hours after the UK premiere. The website also have a first look at BBC America’s marketing art for the series…
