Netflix has announced that Sense8 will be back for a second season.
The first season of the new original sci-fi series from the creators of The Matrix launched worldwide on Netflix in June.
Sense8 tells the story of eight people from around the world whose lives are suddenly and inexplicably connected in a fight for their own survival.
A one-minute video featuring the cast celebrating the news has been posted on Twitter.

Doctor Who star Freema Agyeman has also confirmed that she will be back in Season 2, posting on Instagram: “LOOKS LIKE THERE’LL BE PLENTY MORE COSTUME OPPORTUNITIES! THIS MAKES AMANITA HAPPY!!!! #Sense8season2 #herewego @netflix @sense8”
Other British cast members include Lost actor Naveen Andrews and his Sinbad co-star Tuppence Middleton.
Season 1 was filmed in Chicago, San Francisco, London, Iceland, Seoul, Mumbai, Berlin, Mexico City and Nairobi.
