Dave has moved to fill the gap left by the ending of Dave Gorman’s Modern Life Is Good-ish by commissioning stand-up comic Romesh Ranganthan for a new comedy series.

The brilliant Ranganathan will preside over Judge Romesh, a comedy take on the likes of Judge Judy. Each week, accompanied by other comedians, Romesh willpreside over real-life disagreements and ultimately pass judgement on them.

Ranganathan said: “Whenever I have watched shows like Judge Judy or Judge Rinder, I have always thought these people would be better served by someone with fewer legal qualifications and less interest. It is for that reason that I am delighted to make that dream a reality. I am thrilled to be able to help as many people as I can with their crappy problems”.

Ten half-hour episodes have been ordered so far, and the show will debut on Dave later this year.
