Comedian/actress/writer Aisling Bea has nabbed a role in Paul Rudd’s Netflix series, Living With Myself. We don’t know yet what role she’s playing, but it’s exciting news nonetheless.
Bea has done a roaring trade on TV in recent years, blending comedic appearances in the likes of Taskmaster and 8 Out Of Ten Cats with serious performances in such hit dramas as The Fall and Hard Sun. Bea also already has a relationship with Netflix, having recorded a stand-up special for the Comedy Lineup series, which is expected to land on the streaming service soon.
In Living With Myself, Paul Rudd will play two versions of himself: the show’s original protagonist will sign up for a betterness treatment, only to find that a new-and-improved version of himself tries to take over his life. It sounds like a Black Mirror episode, but with these two actors involved, we’re expecting there to be some degree of comedy involved.
This isn’t the only project on Bea’s slate either: she will play a part in NBC’s I Feel Bad later this year, as well as appearing alongside Sharon Horgan on Happy AF for Channel 4 and popping up in Finding Joy for RTE.
We’ll keep you updated as all of these projects develop.
