Miracle Workers new trailer: Steve Buscemi is God, Daniel Radcliffe is an angel

The TBS network over in the States has released another trailer for Miracle Workers, which is one of those shows that will intrigue you with just its cast list: Steve Buscemi is playing God, and Daniel Radcliffe is playing an angel.

The series heralds from Simon Rich, who previously created Man Seeking Woman for FXX. Rich has also written for Saturday Night Live and The Simpsons, and he contributed additional story material to Disney/Pixar’s Inside Out.

Buscemi, of course, is beloved among film fans for his work in such cult classics as the Coen Brothers’ Fargo and Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs. He’s more recently been seen in The Death Of Stalin and Philip K Dick’s Electric Dreams.

Radcliffe, meanwhile, has been branching out in a big way since finishing his Harry Potter commitments. Starring in films like Swiss Army Man, What If and Kill Your Darlings has proven that he has a lot more than just a fantasy hero up his sleeve.

This is an exciting team, then, and it should be fun to see them working together on Miracle Workers. It looks to be an office comedy set in heaven, and you can watch the new trailer right here…

Also, this teaser trailer hit the web a bit earlier…

And here’s the synopsis:

“A comedy set in the offices of Heaven Inc. When God plans to destroy the Earth, two low-level angels must convince their boss to save humanity. They bet him they can pull off their most impossible miracle yet: help two humans fall in love.”

The series will premiere on TBS for American viewers on February 12th 2019. It doesn’t have a UK broadcaster just yet, but we’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
