People Just Do Nothing will end with its fifth series

The fifth series of People Just Do Nothing will be the show’s last, the BBC has revealed. The heavily improvised comedy mockumentary first launched on BBC Three back in 2014, chronicling the lives and times of Kurupt FM’s weird and wacky staff of pirate radio pioneers.

To wrap things up for good, the Beeb has ordered a fifth and final season of People Just Do Nothing, which will be the first run of the show to air on BBC Two. Shane Allen, the BBC’s comedy chief, said this about People Just Do Nothing coming to an end:

“This swansong series sees the gang end things on a high, although to be fair they’ve been fairly high since day one.

“The love for this show is immense and we want to see them off in style but aren’t expecting Kurupt FM to be any more respectable on Two.”

Allan Mustafa, Steve Stamp, Hugo Chegwin and Asim Chaudhry created this Bafta-winning comedy series, and they will continue to start in it until the final episode airs.

We don’t have an exact air date yet for People Just Do Nothing‘s final season, but we will be sure to let you know when details like that come to light.
