Potts played Connor Temple in all five series of the ITV fantasy drama and also appeared in the short-lived Canadian spin-off, Primeval: New World. He is currently starring in crime drama By Any Means at 9pm on Sunday nights on BBC One.

Speaking exclusively to CultBox, Potts stated: “As far as I’m aware there are no plans for Primeval to return at this stage.”

Asked if he’d be interested in playing Connor again, he commented: “Primeval was a big part of my life. I’ll always have a place in my heart for Connor, but it’s also nice as an actor to play different roles and take on new challenges.”
