The Oscars: Olivia Colman’s acceptance speech is utterly inspiring

Posted Filed under

The Oscars took place in America last night (well, overnight from a UK perspective) and Britain’s own Olivia Colman took home the gong for Best Actress because of her stellar performance as Queen Anne in The Favourite. Her acceptance speech, which you can watch right here, was another delight from our homegrown star…

Whether you first saw her in Peep Show, Broadchurch or an old advert, there’s no denying that Colman has been pure quality for years and it’s about time that the rest of the world took notice. There’s something quite emotional and heart-warming in watching Colman win this award that she so properly deserves.

So, do yourself a favour, and watch her win it…
