‘The Sarah Jane Adventures’ up for two British Academy Children’s Awards

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts announced the nominations today for the Awards, which aim to celebrate the very best in children’s media including television, film, video games and online.

The Sarah Jane Adventures is nominated in the Drama category, up against Combat Kids, House of Anubis and Just William. The show’s lead writer, Phil Ford, is nominated in the Writer category, up against The Amazing World of Gumball‘s James Lamont and Jon Foster, Simon Nye for Just William and Horrible Histories writers Ben Ward, Steve Punt and Dave Cohen.

CBBC has also been nominated for the ‘channel of the year’ award.

Voting opens today. The Awards will take place on Sunday 27th November at the London Hilton and will be hosted by Blue Peter presenter Barney Harwood.
