The series will begin on Saturday 21st April, centring on the complex process behind the production of an original Broadway musical.

Developed from an idea of executive producer Steven Spielberg, Smash’s cast features Debra Messing (Will & Grace), Anjelica Huston (Prizzi’s Honor), Katharine McPhee (American Idol), Jack Davenport (Pirates of the Caribbean), Christian Borle (Legally Blonde: The Musical), Megan Hilty (Wicked), Raza Jaffrey (Spooks) and Brian D’Arcy James (Ghost Town).

Guest stars will include Uma Thurman and Nick Jonas.
