Channel 4 have announced that the second season of the US remake of The Killing will begin airing in the UK on the channel in May.
Season 2 sees Sarah Linden reeling from the devastating news that vital evidence in the Larsen investigation has been tampered with.
The official synopsis for Season 2 reads: “She thought she had solved the most unsettling case of her career. She thought the photo of Darren Richmond on Desolation Bridge on the night of Rosie’s murder (and in the car where her body was found) was conclusive proof of his guilt. But when she discovers that the photo has been doctored – by Holder no less, Linden abandons her plans to move to California and goes straight to Lt Oakes; who seems reluctant to take this information to the district attorney.
“As she begins compiling evidence to prove that the photo was faked, the notoriously intense detective immediately encounters resistance and a hasty cover-up. Holder clearly isn’t a rogue cop acting alone and Sarah realises that she’s on her own. If critically injured Richmond was set up, who did kill Rosie Larsen?”
The first season aired on Channel 4 last year.
