Curran’s van Gogh featured in the Series 5 episode ‘Vincent And The Doctor’, written by Richard Curtis, and came top of the CultBox poll with an overwhelming 55.7% of the votes.

He was closely followed by William Shakespeare (played by Dean Lennox Kelly), Agatha Christie (played by Fenella Woolgar) and Charles Dickens (played by Simon Callow).
