Informer: BBC unveil release date, trailer for new thriller

The BBC have set a launch date for their upcoming thriller, Informer, penned by Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani – and they’ve also given us a trailer…

Informer is described in the official bumf as “a complex, character-driven thriller about Raza, a young second generation British-Pakistani man from East London (Nabhaan Rizwan) who is coerced by Gabe, a Counter-Terrorism Officer (Paddy Considine) into informing for him.”

It’ll star Rizwan and Considine as well as Bel Powley, Jessica Raine, Sharon D Clarke, Arinzé Kene, and Sunetra Sarker to boot. They’ll be working from scripts by Haines and Noshirvani and directed by Jonny Campbell, who helmed The Casual Vacancy. Ex-James Bond director Sam Mendes is also executive producing.

Here’s that trailer…

Informer will premiere on BBC One on Tuesday 16th October at 9pm.

We’ll keep you updated on this series.
