Ratings roundup: ‘Marchlands’, ‘Being Human’, ‘Outcasts’ and more

Episode 5 of Being Human‘s third series averaged 1.3 million viewers for BBC Three last Sunday, while David Morrisey’s three-part South Riding launched over on BBC One at the same time with a strong 6.6 million.

Outcasts‘ final episode in its Monday night slot, before moving to Sunday nights from Episode 6, pulled in just 2.7 million. The third episode of paranormal drama Bedlam averaging 320,500 viewers for Sky Living later that night.

BBC One’s new legal drama Silk, starring Rupert Penry-Jones and Maxine Peake, attracted an audience of 5.3 million viewers for Episode 1 on Tuesday.

Last night’s fourth episode of Marchlands drew 5.8 million to ITV1, while the penultimate episode of Sky1’s Mallorca-set thriller Mad Dogs dropped slightly to 691,000 viewers. Skins also dropped to a new low of 567,000 for the fifth episode of Series 5.

Finally, BBC One’s Hustle concluded its seventh series with 5.1 million viewers last Friday. The con drama averaged strong ratings for the whole series, boding well for the possibility of a Series 8.
