Filmed in the iconic Twickenham stadium, home of English rugby and where the first game was played over 100 years ago in 1909, Matt Dawson relives the sport’s tastiest tries, toughest tackles, best-ever players and greatest games in an hour-long DVD that no rugby fan will want to miss!

We caught up with Matt to find out what he likes to watch to relax…

Favourite TV show to cheer you up:

Modern Family. I had to be persuaded by my wife, but once watched I couldn’t stop. So simple and yet brilliantly delivered. Never, ever fails to make me smile.”

Favourite TV show to watch before going to sleep:

“As a pro sportsman I always had to have an afternoon snooze. Crashing on the sofa to Top Gear made my eyes close in about 15mins. Not because I didn’t like it, I love it. I think its ‘cos I’ve seen them all and I know what’s coming. Comforting, my mum would say.”

TV show that reminds you of your childhood:

“I reckon I may have tantrumed if I wasn’t allowed to watch three shows: Ski Sunday, Rugby Special and Question of Sport. Sunday night heaven!”

TV show that reminds you of being a teenager:

“Teenage years weren’t my most productive and I often found myself glued to This Morning with Richard and Judy. God I must have been bored. Mind you Judy was a real looker 20 years ago.”

Favourite “guilty pleasure” TV show:

I’m A Celebrity, The X Factor and of course Strictly are the obvious but by far TOWIE has become cult TV in our house. I’m still not sure if I’m laughing with them or at them though!”

Favourite TV show to watch hungover:

“Sport is my go-to TV when hungover. Anything that doesn’t require a plot!”

Axed TV show that you most wish would return:

“Would love to see CHiPs come back. For the theme tune alone! Flash backs to Grandstand on a Saturday afternoon then followed by classic American cops trawling the streets of California on massive motorbikes and riding breaches!”
