Weddings on television always stir intense emotion and sentiment, as there are always surprises in store.

Often unexpected twists occur; uninvited exes turn up, brides run away, grooms end up screwing all. Anything can happen!

We, who love and live with daily soaps, have seen so much drama on the small screen, but along with experiencing the twists and turns, there’s always the wedding attire and make-up to enjoy too.

Today let’s explore some memorable, romantic weddings which stole our hearts…

Sex and the City

While talking about the wedding dresses, Charlotte startled us all, when she appeared wearing stunning Badgley Mischka dress while getting married for the second time. The dress was undoubtedly complementing her slim, sleek body, her fluttering off shoulder sleeves was a nice change from her first wedding attire where she was seen wearing a traditional princess ball gown.

The subtle embroidery of the dress matched well with the thin neat glittery bracelet, the veil dangling alongside her auburn hair made her looking unbelievingly beautiful. Even her shoes well matched her gown but was less visible.

How I Met Your Mother

The viewers of How I Met Your Mother would endorse in one word that the entire final session of it was revolving round the wedding ceremony of Robin and Barney. Their nuptial arrangements made the final season more demanding.

The Monique Lhuillier designed gown was perfect for Barney. Although it was exposing less skin but was rightly complementing her figure, the sleek yet dazzling diamond pendant, the ear rings made her look even more gorgeous. The gray ornate waistband  made the wedding attire differently charming. The veil tucked behind her bun definitely made her look prettier.

General Hospital

Including a cameo by Elizabeth Taylor, General Hospital left its mark where millions watched it ardently and today whenever the serial was referred to, discussions over Luke and Laura’s wedding comes on surface on varying grounds.

That tactic veil of 80s, the ornate beaded diadem with superfluous veil, the puffy sleeve and a long line gown complemented Laura and her physical profile. The embroidery all along the neckline and upper sleeve gave her princess poise.

Glee

Whether it was her own choice or the help rendered by her “friend” Mr. Schue, Emma Pillsbury on Glee definitely reached the best conclusion about the wedding attire, as Will couldn’t control, when she emerged in neat J. Crew gown wearing classic white gloves and a dazzling crown.

She was looking like a folktale princess and that might be the reason why the couple ended up singing “I Could Have Danced All Night” in a loving dreamy sequence. The satin smoothness of her wedding dress matched well with the glow of her face as it was shooting radiance of love and satisfaction.

Gossip Girl

Now what could be better than how the final session of the style-centric show Gossip Girl ended, where Serena finally tied knot with Dan, emerging in bright gold and white Georges Chakra gown. The off shoulder gown needed no accessory to make it look better.

The gown was all inclusive and perfect for ultra-glam uptown social girl like Serena. Her stunning lynching gold earring, casual bun and over and above enchanting smile made her look amazing.
