‘Mad Dogs’: Series 2 episode guide

Max Beesley, Philip Glenister, John Simm and Marc Warren’s holiday from hell has been extended, with the second series of Mad Dogs coming to Sky1 later this month.

Now Woody (Beesley), Quinn (Glenister), Baxter (Simm) and Rick (Warren) are back, and Blighty and ordinary life are still but a distant memory.

Episode 1

Picking up right where we left off, the lads prepare to drive off and leave Quinn to it, when they spot Maria’s partner in crime, Dominic, making his way to the villa…

Without spoiling any jack-in-a-box surprises, the four entangle themselves in another wickedly funny tale involving more rigor mortis, that bag of drug money, a trip to Ibiza and an obsessive, oxygen tank-carrying OAP named Wheezy.

 

Episode 2

The boys are still clinging on to the clifftop of normality in this latest episode, to the possibility that they can return home and pick up where they left off, like none of this ever happened.

It’s fair to say, however, that their fingers are slipping. Now on the run in Ibiza with the bag of money in tow, Woody, Quinn, Baxter and Rick try to cover their tracks by heading to a remote mountain village, only for strange forces to come into play…

Lady Luck has long abandoned the lads but as the drama builds towards next week’s conclusion, there’s a possibility that she might show her face just in time. It’s a slim one, but still…

Avoiding spoiler territory, the odds continue to stack up against Woody, Quinn, Baxter and Rick. Confronted by a ruthless villain, the boys try to repair the damage they have unwittingly done, before a race against the clock pushes them to breaking point.

 

Episode 4

So what can we expect from this week’s conclusion? Well, the boys’ hostage experience is interrupted by the unexpected extension of an olive branch.

Woody, Quinn, Baxter and Rick can win back their freedom in return for completing a seemingly impossible quest and, for once, fortune is in their favour and it looks like they might succeed.
