Launching on BBC One on Sunday 30 December and on BBC America on Saturday 19 January, the eight-part series is set in and around Whitechapel in London’s East End in 1889, during the aftermath of the Jack The Ripper murders.

Starring Matthew Macfadyen (Spooks), the cast also includes Jerome Flynn (Game of Thrones), Adam Rothenberg (Alcatraz), Myanna Buring (White Heat), David Dawson (Luther) and Joe Gilgun (Misfits).
