It seems to be the season of thrillers getting the greenlight, with the latest coming from ITV, here’s a break down of what we know so far:

Recently commissioned from ITV, we have an entire series to look forward to from the studio. Bringing more drama and thrills to our screens some point in the future, there’s a few juicy details that have already been released to the public. From cast members to the story’s premise, ITV’s given us a taste of what’s to come.

What’s it about?

First Woman follows the story of a man living in London waking up to the unexpected and dreaded news that his wife has gone missing. This isn’t a usual case of disappearance or kidnapping however, as his wife is currently out in space. As an astronaut and a crew member for the UK’s first moon base, global headlines are made about the woman who has vanished in the vastest place possible. Our protagonist’s wife is a biologist and the first woman to walk on the moon, suspicion around her work raises a few eyebrows. Both her fellow and rival astronauts from China’s base are now under scrutiny and our main character take on the interplanetary task of uncovering the truth about what happened to his wife.

Who’s in it?

The currently announced cast includes Andrea Riseborough (To Leslie) and Ashley Walters (Adolescence).
