What to Expect from the Third Season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon

Posted Filed under

The massive success of the Walking Dead franchise has led to an increasing number of spin-offs that have expanded the post-apocalyptic, zombie-filled universe. The latest to hit British screens is the third season of the Daryl Dixon series, so what can we expect from it?

Overview of the Franchise

It all began in 2010, when The Walking Dead began an eleven-season run that included 177 episodes. Andrew Lincoln played the lead character, Rick Grimes, in the original series, but the spin-offs have allowed us to find out more about the stories of the other people we saw along the way.

This review of the Dead City spin-off looks at the last spin-off to reach the UK. It’s a fun zombie romp as Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) head to New York City, which has been taken over by the undead hordes. The Ones Who Live also arrived on our screen last year, with Grimes back alongside Michonne (Danai Gurira) for more battles.

The franchise has also reached other areas of popular entertainment, such as this online casino UK players can try. The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live by Playtech is a slot based on the 2024 spin-off and featuring elements from the show, like weapons, among the most important symbols. Rick, Michonne and Thorne are all pictured at the side of the reels, with each of them having a bonus feature that players can trigger.

All About the Third Season

This season was filmed in Spain and shows how Daryl Dixon (played by Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) try to make their way home. However, they carry on straying further afield, into distant lands. If you’ve seen the first series, you’ll know that Daryl landed on the shores of France, which is where the virus began, but he doesn’t know how he got there or how to get home to his loved ones.

Various characters that we’ve seen in the previous seasons return, while we also get to meet some new people on this adventure. Óscar Jaenada, Eduardo Noriega and Alexandra Masangkay are among the regulars in this series.

The season begins with Daryl’s arrival in London, but he soon ends up stranded in Spain while trying to cross the Atlantic by boat to return to America. There are seven episodes in this season in total, with the final couple of them not yet having received their premiere anywhere, so no one yet knows how it all ends.

The Dates to Be Aware of

The third season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is set to be launched in the UK on Friday the 24th of October. While the episodes have been released in stages elsewhere, you can see all the episodes at once on Sky Max and NOW from that date onwards. A fourth and final season has already been agreed, with filming starting in Spain earlier this year, with the aim of making eight episodes that wrap up the story of Daryl and Carol satisfactorily.
