2021 live music preview: Brighton Centre reveals rescheduled concert dates

It’s been a tough year for live music, with nearly all planned shows cancelled due to Covid-19.

Hopefully 2021 will be a more music-packed year for gig-goers and Brighton Centre has announced a number of rescheduled dates for many of their cancelled 2020 events.

BRIT Award nominee Michael Kiwanuka will now be touring his exquisite latest album across the UK next spring, playing in Brighton on Saturday 3rd April 2021, with support from TAWIAH.

Back together again after some time apart, McFly will now be coming to Brighton on Wednesday 19th May 2021.

Race to the rescue with hit kids show Paw Patrol LIVE, which has been moved to Wednesday 25th August 2021, with three shows taking place across the day.

Celebrating 60 magical years of Motown, immerse yourself in the sound of a generation as Magic of Motown returns on Friday 10th December 2021, playing all your favourite Motown hits.

Other highlights include pop stars JLS on Monday 28th July 2021, Scottish band Texas on Saturday 12th June 2021, and Elbow on Saturday 18th September 2021, following the release of their eighth album.

Meanwhile, newly-announced shows for 2021 include Radiohead singer Thom Yorke on Wednesday 23rd June performing songs from his solo catalogue, and the return of pop legends Steps on Thursday 25th November 2021 (tickets on sale from 18th November), alongside brilliant special guest Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

While inevitably all of these dates remain subject to change, this certainly gives music fans some exciting things to put in their diary for next year!
