Cummings and Morrissey have been confirmed as leads for Russel T Davies’ upcoming Channel 4 Drama Tip Toe
Alan Cummings (Glenrothan) and David Morrissey (Sherwood) will lead the 5-episode drama Tip Toe, set in Manchester, which has begun filming.
The five-part series will follow Leo and Clive who have lived next door to each other in Manchester for almost 15 years. But just as life should be settling down, the world around them is growing more tense. Words become weapons, opinions become radicalised, and gradually, two neighbours become deadly enemies in a tense, suburban thriller which challenges everything we consider to be safe.

The cast also includes Pooky Quesnel (The A Word), Jackson Connor (Phoenix Rise), Joseph Evans (The Map That Leads to You), Elizabeth Berrington (Last Night in Soho), Iz Hesketh (Renegade Nell), Shakeel Kimotho (La Cage Aux Folles), Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Wednesday), Paul Rhys (Saltburn), Charlie Condou (Doctor Who) and Denise Welch (Coronation Street).
Who’s producing Tip Toe?
The series is being produced by Quay Street Productions, part of ITV Studios, with Davies, Cumming, Nicola Shindler and Peter Hoar as executive producers. Phil Collinson has also been listed as a producer. The show has been commissioned by Channel 4.
