New to U&Drama (and it caught us by surprise) is Anna Pigeon Mysteries — we take a look at the new crime show

The show focuses on a park ranger, seeking a new life away from the city

What is Anna Pigeon Mysteries

There was little publicity for this, but we can start with Channel 4’s streaming page (they have some UKTV content) which has:

Crime drama following determined park ranger Anna Pigeon, who left the city behind after a personal tragedy and channels her pain into investigating crimes in national parks

In the interest of balance, here’s the direct link to the UKTV option. On researching, we learn there’s a series of best-selling (19 so far) novels by Nevada Barr, so plenty left to adapt if the show takes off — here’s a link to the Penguin catalogue.

As to cast, the Radio Times (and others) have more on the lead, played by Tracy Spiridakos, a former city slicker who became a National Park Service park ranger after a devastating loss changed the trajectory of her life forever.

While Anna tries to outrun her demons, her focus turns to solving crimes that have taken place within national park grounds, no matter who or what gets in her way. Spiridakos (Chicago PD) is a Canadaian actor, the show is a US / Canadian project.

There’s a strong cast as well with Ronnie Rowe Jr (Star Trek: Discovery), Paulina Alexis (Reservation Dogs), Tricia Helfer (Lucifer, Battlestar Galactica), Melanie Scrofano (Wynonna Earp), Manuel Rodriguez-Saenz (Bria Mack Gets a Life), Kim Coates (Sons of Anarchy), Cooper Levy (Overcompensating), Jordan Sledz (Heartland), Ryan Northcott (Tribal), Crystle Lightning (Three Pines) and Nikki Hallow (High School).
