Riding off the success of the giant success of the absurd Widow’s Bay, the studio shows no sign of slowing when it comes to developing new projects. The newest release of information has revealed a peek behind the curtain of the currently untitled production.
What’s the new Apple TV comedy about?
Despite the lack of a title (for now), there’s still some details out about the plot of the series from creators Liz Heldens (Friday Night Lights) and Matt Ward (The Big Leap). The story follows a recently divorced woman who has decided to pursue a better life for herself and her children. However, a new issue has popped up in her life, her father has decided it’s time he gets a new lease on life too and begins to become popular with the ladies of his retirement community. Our protagonist finds herself making unlikely alliances in order to finally free herself from being the fixer for the men in her life.

The confirmed cast includes Elizabeth Banks (Pitch Perfect), Tom Selleck (Blue Bloods), Ted Danson (Cheers), Rob Delaney (Bad Monkey), Katey Sagal (Futurama), Jared Goldstein (Black Mirror), Spencer Moss (American Fable), Hamish Linklater (The Big Short), Michelle Buteau (Babes) and Simu Liu (Barbie).
