The Capture brings Ron Perlman and Famke Janssen to the UK.

The mighty due of Ron Perlman and Famke Janssen is heading to British television, having signed up for a new thriller by the name of The Capture.

The six part drama is the latest series from Ben Chanan, who previously penned Cyberbully and Blackout. Already in the cast as well are Callum Turner and Holliday Grainger, and filming on the show is currently underway around London.

The official synopsis of The Capture describes it as “an acutely timely surveillance thriller set in London, which looks at a troubling world of misinformation, fake news, and the extraordinary technological capabilities of the intelligence services. In the post-truth era and when criminal justice relies so heavily on video evidence, can we always trust what we see?”

Chanan is also directing the drama, which is a co-production with NBCUniversal in the US. Don’t be surprised if the BBC looks to schedule this one just before the end of the year.
