The festival season isn’t over just yet, with films being announced before being put out to be snapped up by a studio. This latest production has a tantalisingly talented cast and premise, reported by the most recent press releases.

What’s Bluefly about?

Set in the dank and unforgiving verdant forests of the Congo, a translator from the UN is pulled into a special ops mission. They’re in the middle of grieving a huge loss when they’re tasked with helping to track down and recover a downed aircraft that completely off all kinds of records. The team push through an unforgiving landscape littered with militia, they find themselves going deeper into the undergrowth than they expected. Upon their approach to the aircraft, the purpose of the mission becomes more and more distant, with some questioning if they were even supposed to bring the wreckage home at all.

The currently announced cast list includes Russell Crowe (Nuremberg) and Priyanka Chopra Jonas (Heads of State).

The feature is directed by Nimród Antal (Predators) and is written by David Frigerio (Beast), William Eubank (Underwater) and Carlyle Eubank (Muzzle).
