Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Stephanie Beatriz would love to play She-Hulk in Disney’s series

The actress has been number one on the ‘dream casting’ list for fans…

Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s Detective Rosa Diaz is already halfway to being TV’s current She-Hulk in the popular NBC sitcom, so it’s not surprising that fans immediately thought of actress Stephanie Beatriz for the lead role in Disney+’s forthcoming Marvel series.

The push to see her cast as She-Hulk has only just popped up on Beatriz’s radar. Nevertheless, she’s all for it.

“I would die to play that role. That is so flattering,” Beatriz said. “That is one of the best characters in that universe.”

Despite Marvel’s She-Hulk project only being announced very recently, Beatriz has been doing a little bit of prep for the role, just in case the powers that be are listening to that positive online fan chatter. “I definitely have upped my workouts since reading some of those things. But also, [I think it would] be really exciting for fans to see some of these characters that we kind of decided are one thing, to sort of be imagined in a different way.”

Brooklyn Nine-Nine season 7 hasn’t set a premiere date on E4 in the UK yet, but co-producer Dan Goor has previously teased that Diaz’s bonkers ex Pimento, played by Jason Mantzoukas, may well be back to stir up trouble.

“I think we’re gonna bring back a lot of our favourites, who I think are also fan favourites. We’re hoping to have a Pimento episode, we’re hoping to have a Pontiac Bandit episode obviously [and] hoping to have Marc Evan Jackson.”

More on She-Hulk and Brooklyn Nine-Nine as it arrives.
