Foundation season 3 ended with several big changes, and a good few deaths including Brother Day (Lee Pace) — that’s not the end of the story

If you need a refresher, now’s a good time to reread our review of season 3.

So what did happen to Brother Day

There were plenty of revelations and grand dramatic sequences. We will leave most of the details out, but in this case, Day had quasi-immortality: nanotechnology healed his body and he was a clone with many spares. Until an older version destroyed all the clones. To add to the complications, Day himself gave up his nanotechnology, making his only remaining body (as far as we know) mortal. This only lasted until the final episode.

We don’t know how the writers are bringing him back, but we do know Lee Pace is filming season 4 thanks to a production update from The Prague Reporter. Earlier this summer they reported filming well underway and scheduled to complete some time ago. The whole season is being filmed locally — previously a range of locations were used.

While we’re pleased to see Lee Pace return, we are particularly keen to have Demerzel (Laura Birn) also return. Yes, she was incinerated, but given her robotic nature, surely a memory copy can be available somewhere?
