The latest news about the film has confirmed that Sony Pictures has the rights to the property, the release also includes information about who’s starring in the picture as well as what it’s about and a timeline for its release.

What’s Bunker about?

Written and directed by Florian Zeller (The Father), the film follows the ethical struggles of an architect taking on an unusual project. He’s being commissioned to create a survival bunker for a billionaire, rewarding him with a life changing paycheck protecting some of the most amoral members of society. The architects life starts shifting out of balance the deeper he gets, with his wife becoming more and more withdrawn, making the original motivation for taking on such a project feel further and further out of reach.

Who’s in it?

The films stars Javier Bardem (No Country For Old Men), Penélope Cruz (Vicky Cristina Barcelona), Stephen Graham (Adolescence), Paul Dano (There Will Be Blood), and Patrick Schwarzenegger (The White Lotus). Boasting an all-star cast and an intriguing premise, there’s rumblings of an Oscars campaign being put together for the feature.

When’s it out?

The film is set for release early next year in 2027.
