Inspired by the original 90’s film starring Jim Carrey with the same title, a new serialised take on the comedy. The latest release about the project drops details on the cast and plot of the pilot episode of the series.

What’s Cable Guy about?

In a world where fibre-optic might be the only thing that an online streaming world can imagine when thinking about cable, the protagonist of this story finds himself redundant and alone. He’s the final bastion of the old world of cable, until one day he gets a call he hasn’t had in years – somebody wants their cable turned on. The call comes from none other than a never-forgotten childhood friend of the protagonist, giving both men a chance to build an old relationship in an ever-changing world.

Who’s in it?

The current cast list includes Jake Johnson (New Girl), Damon Wayans Jr. (Let’s Be Cops) and Natasha Rothwell (How to Die Alone). More cast members are likely to be announced in the future as production continues.
