Cast announced for Hellhound

Posted Filed under

Good news for action-comedy fans as a brand-new project is underway, and the cast list has begun to be revealed – here’s what we know so far:

After being announced at last year’s Cannes festival, there’s been some progress with Hellhound. A list of beloved talent now has even more favourites added on with this latest round of updates. The project will begin filming later this year in upstate New York, with the production giving more details on the project before vanishing into the void that lies between production and trailer release.

What’s it about?

The film’s story follows a veterinarian, long past his golden years. Living in a small town, he’s faced with acclimatising to the ordinary and it’s at that exact moment when there’s an outbreak of zombies at his doorstep. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and our protagonist’s desperate measure is teaming up with his ex-wife and her shiny new policeman-shaped boyfriend in order to convince the powers-that-be that they shouldn’t destroy NYC during this apocalyptic event. The plot will follow the protagonist as he juggles his new responsibility, new relationship dynamics, confronting powerful people – all while trying to not get bitten.

Who’s in it?

The currently released cast list includes Justin Long (Barbarian), Ron Perlman (Hellboy), Harry Shum Jr. (Everything Everywhere All At Once), Martin Starr (Tulsa King), Jarrett Austin Brown (Stumble), Marisa Tomei (My Cousin Vinny), Sam Rockwell (Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die), Chris Messina (Sharp Objects) and Ivan Martin (To Kill a Wolf).

When’s it out?

No release date is out yet.
