A brand-new psychological thriller is on it’s way from Netflix, here’s the lowdown on what we know about the project so far:

What’s it about?

The new film project will follow the story of how the life of a young and ambitious woman gets eroded by outside forces. Her life becomes intertwined with a power-hungry DC couple, who dig their talons in and drag her into a shadowy underworld which she wasn’t prepared for. As we watch our protagonist act at the behest of the manipulative couple, the story unfolds into one of sex, power and murder.

Who’s in it?

The star-studded cast includes Kerry Washington (Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery), James Marsden (Jury Duty) and Chloe East (The Wolf of Snow Hollow).

Who’s behind it?

The psychological thriller will be directed by horror veteran Jaume Collet-Serra (The Shallows), with Washington as an executive producer. The script is the result of the hard work of writers Michael Mohan (Immaculate) and Marc Guggenheim (Legends of Tomorrow), with revisions by Carly Wray (Mad Men). Greg Berlanti (Fly Me to the Moon) and Sarah Schechter (Red, White and Royal Blue) are also set to produce the project. Guggenheim, Mike McGrath (The House Across the Lake) and Scott Greenberg (Echo Valley) will also act as executive producers for the film alongside Washington.

When’s it out?

There’s currently not a release date or timeline set for the film as it’s still making its way through development.
