Charli xcx, the patron saint of Brat Summer and hyperpop superstar, recently hit the big screen with The Moment, a mockumentary about the neon-green album that had a huge impact on the music industry and mainstream culture as a whole. Following this, a brand-new project involving the musician has been announced, what could she possibly be up to now?

What’s it about?

Currently under the very early title of Untitled Kyoto Project, the story follows three friends who meet up in Kyoto, hoping to make some memories together. However, the memories they end up making end up being ones they could never have anticipated. One member of the trio ends up getting possessed by a seemingly malignant spirit.

Who’s in it?

The confirmed cast entails Charli, Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon), Sho Kasamatsu (Tokyo Vice), Kiko Mizuhara (Ride or Die) and Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead).

Who’s behind it?

Charli’s production company, Studio365 has been working on the project with experienced horror director Takashi Miike (Audition). Don’t expect this production to shy away from inventing new types of gore you’ve never considered before.
