Cole Escola will join the ONE PIECE cast for season 3
While season 2 of ONE PIECE won’t arrive on Netflix until Q1 2026, we already know the show has been renewed for season 3 and filming starts later this year. Netflix has revealed the first new name for season 3 — Cole Escola (Oh, Mary!, Search Party, At Home With Amy Sedaris, Big Mouth).
Who is Cole Escola playing
Escola will play the fan-favorite character Bon Clay, a master of performance and precision who is as dangerous as they are dazzling, a theatrical assassin who turns combat into art. If you’re less familiar with the manga originals, this ONE PIECE wiki article may help, or may confuse you more! Suffice it to say the character has a big story arc, and we have as yet no sense of which elements will occur during the third season of Netflix’s live action version.
And what is ONE PIECE
If you’ve not yet watched, the show is based on Eiichiro Oda’s manga of the same name. It follows a daring young pirate named Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) as he sails the seas with his Straw Hats crew: swordsman Roronoa Zoro (Mackenyu), cartographer Nami (Emily Rudd), storyteller Usopp (Jacob Romero), and chef Sanji (Taz Skylar). Luffy dreams of becoming the King of the Pirates by finding the infamous pirate Gold Roger’s mysterious treasure, the One Piece. In season 2, we’re introduced to the mysterious Miss Wednesday (Charithra Chandran).
With filming soon, we expect more announcements. We’ll bring them to you as we get them.
