The popular video game from CD Projekt Red has inspired art from fans and creatives alike, now it’s time to see the franchise in the flesh with the latest adaptation underway. The most recent news sheds a little light on how development is going.

What’s Cyberpunk 2077 about?

The action-adventure role-playing game puts the player deep in the underbelly of the sprawling metropolis of Night City. Although the expansive nature of the game’s world gives players multiple storylines to follow, a key character is Keanu Reeves’ Johnny Silverhand, a mercenary in a tech-obsessed world. There’s no doubt the adaptation will touch upon themes of power, glamour and body modification.

Who’s behind it?

The film is being made for Paramount Pictures, with Lorenzo di Bonaventura (Snake Eyes) producing.
