First look images have been released for the second season of comedy series Big Mood here’s what we know so far about the upcoming season.
Dancing Ledge Productions (The Salisbury Poisonings) has a hit on their hands after the success of the first season of Big Mood. With the second season coming up, let’s break down what to expect before the new episodes hit our screens.
What’s it about?
The second season of Big Mood will take place a year after best friends Maggie and Eddie have seen each other, with no contact happening in the meantime. Eddie returns for a wedding, with a new character being introduced in the form of Whitney. She’s a spiritual healer with a positive aura and Maggie sees her as competition.
Who’s in it?
The returning cast includes Nicola Coughlan (Derry Girls), Lydia West (It’s A Sin), Robert Gilbert (Big Boys), Eamon Farren (The Witcher), Niamh Cusack (In The Land Of Saint and Sinners), Amalia Vitale (Smoggie Queens), Luke Fetherston (Picture This), Rebecca Lowman (Grey’s Anatomy), Stephen Sobal (Love Sick) and Kate Fleetwood (Wheel of Time).
The new cast that have been announced are Hannah Onslow (This City is Ours), Robert Lindsay (My Family), Marina Bye (We Were the Lucky Ones), Marcus Collins (Mrs. Doubtfire, West End), Munroe Bergdorf (Love and Rage: Munroe Bergdorf), Kyran Thrax (RuPaul’s Drag Race UK S6), Kelly Campbell (Bad Sisters), Leo Wan (Bridgerton), Zachary Hart (Slow Horses) and John Locke (Vindication Swim).
Who’s behind it?
Camilla Whitehill, the creator of Big Mood, maintains her position as the writer of the second season. With Rebecca Asher (Brooklyn 99) returning to direct. Also returning is Lotte Beasley Mestriner (The Young Offenders), who will be the executive producer for season two. She’ll be executive producing alongside Camilla Whitehill, Rebecca Asher, Nicola Coughlan and Lydia West.
