The first poster for Hunted, BBC One’s new contemporary spy series, has been unveiled at MIPTV 2012 in Cannes.
The eight-part series features Grey’s Anatomy star Melissa George as Sam, a “highly skilled operative for an elite private intelligence firm”, alongside Adam Rayner (Mistresses) as her colleague and love interest.
The Australian actress has described Hunted as “dynamic, tough [and] sexy”.
Written by Frank Spotnitz, best known for writing nearly 50 episodes of The X Files, the show (previously titled Nemesis) began filming last November and is produced by the makers of Spooks.
The official synopsis reads: “This is the story of a spy with a bull’s eye on her back, a human target unable to trust anyone at any time, even the man she loves. She is, quite literally, running for her life.”
Hunted is expected to begin on BBC One this summer.
