The first official photo of Line of Duty‘s cast additions for the new season has been revealed.

The pic features Daniel Mays, Will Mellor, Arsher Ali and Leanne Best as the officers in Season 3’s Armed Response Unit.

Mays (Mrs Biggs) plays Sergeant Danny Waldron, Mellor (In the Club) plays PC Rod Kennedy, Ali (The Missing) plays PC Harinderpal ‘Hari’ Bains and Best (Fortitude) plays WPC Jackie Brickford.

The third season of BBC Two’s police corruption drama began filming in Belfast last month.

The official synopsis reads: “When AC-12 are called in to investigate Danny’s conduct, even they could find themselves in the firing line.”

BBC Two commissioned a third and fourth season of Line Of Duty last April, after the second season concluded with an audience of 4.1 million viewers.

Returning cast members include Martin Compston as Detective Sergeant Steve Arnott, Vicky McClure as Detective Constable Kate Fleming and Adrian Dunbar as Superintendent Ted Hastings.
