BBC Worldwide have unveiled a brand new poster to promote the second series of Sherlock , which begins on BBC One next year.

Featuring the tagline ‘Three unsolvable cases, one unique detective,’ the artwork has been designed to promote the show to international media buyers at MIPCOM 2011 in Cannes this week.

Series 2 of Sherlock will include three 90-minute episodes – ‘A Scandal In Belgravia’, ‘The Hounds Of Baskerville’ and ‘The Reichenbach Fall’ – and will see the return of Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes, Martin Freeman as Dr John Watson, Rupert Graves as Inspector Lestrade and Una Stubbs as Mrs Hudson.

Guest stars will include Russell Tovey (Being Human), Lara Pulver (Spooks) and Katherine Parkinson (The IT Crowd).
