An adaptation of the extremely popular romance novel will be skating over to Netflix, here’s what we know so far about Icebreaker:
It seems as though romance on the rink wont’ just stop at Heated Rivalry, with the production of an adaptation of Hannah Grace’s book of the same name has been announced by Netflix.
What’s Icebreaker about?
Taking inspiration from a story that’s been sold over one million times globally, the current details released about the series hints at watching a strained relationship turn into a budding romance. When the local ice rink accidentally has a mix-up on who’s using it when, two groups with entirely different styles of using it are forced out on the ice at the exact same time. The story will follow a disciplined skater with her eye set on an Olympic medal and a passionate ice hockey player with dreams in the NHL. The two disagree about the other’s discipline but something keeps drawing them back together.
Who’s behind it?
Jade Bartlett (Road House) and Amanda Lasher (Gossip Girl) will write and executive produce the show, with Lasher also taking on the role of showrunner.
