Get ready for Invasion season 2, coming to Apple TV+ August 23 (this Wednesday)

Not long now until Invasion returns to Apple TV+ with season 2 dropping new episodes every Wednesday until October 25. We noted the show as one to watch with an Apple TV+ trial and the imminent arrival of a new season only adds to our recommendation. The synopsis is:

“The action-packed second season of Invasion picks up just months later with the aliens escalating their attacks in an all-out war against the humans. The series stars Golshifteh Farahani, Shioli Kutsuna, Shamier Anderson, India Brown, Billy Barratt, Azhy Robertson, Paddy Holland and Tara Moayedi. New series regulars joining season two include Enver Gjokaj, Nedra Marie Taylor and Naian González Norvind.”

If you don’t know, the show depicts several very personal views of the effects of alien invasion on a diverse group of characters. Across season 1 their lives became interconnected (those who survived at least) and we expect more this season.

You can also find some first-look images on the Apple TV+ press site. We’re promised this season will reveal more about the aliens themselves, making characters of some of them building contrast and comparison with humanity. Whatever happens, we can’t wait.
