The latest information about the project has been released, giving us a good chunk of detail about the story at the core of the movie as well as the stars who will carry it.

What’s the story of the Netflix untitled film?

The courtroom story is based off the true tale of the Monsanto case in the US. It will be led by a green, young attorney as he takes on a mammoth legal case against one of the country’s biggest and most powerful chemical company. With the accusation that members of the local community are getting cancer from using the supposedly everyday products, the case becomes a lot more than a young legal worker proving themselves.

Who’s in it?

The officially announced cast so far includes Jonathan Bailey (Bridgerton), Laura Dern (Blue Velvet), LaKeith Stanfield (Sorry to Bother You), Julia McDermott (Up Here), David Duchovny (The X Files) and Greg Kinnear (Little Miss Sunshine).

Who’s behind it?

John Lee Hancock (The Little Things) will lead the film as the director, with him writing alongside Michael Wisner, Alexandra Duparc (Hit The Lights), and Ned Benson (Featherwood).
